This is a film I admire a great deal. Although, I don't know the film makers or belong to the organization I am recommending it as a hunter and conservationist. I felt it worth sharing.
During my college years, and there were many, I thought I wanted to be a nature photographer. Unfortunately, I never quite figured out a way to get the Elk to pay. That's how I ended up a commercial photographer.
I may not be a film maker but I do know great footage when I see it. Many years ago I wrote video reviews for an outdoor magazine. In doing so, I watched many, many hunting videos. That experience taught me a great deal about what makes good or bad video.
In my mind, the best will always be those done by Gordon Eastman and Walt Disney with Rex Allen narrating. Some of Eastman's later work was fantastic but without that terrific voice of Rex Allen he couldn't quite reach the same heights.
This one is so simple yet so beautiful most folks will have no idea how hard it was to make. If you're a hunter you will have a pretty good idea.
The film is very short, just a few minutes. Watch it when you need to chill out. You'll be glad you did.

Life's purpose is not to arrive at the grave in good shape, but rather to slide in sideways, totally worn out, eyes bloodshot, hair smoking while hollering "Holy Crap !! ...What a ride!"
