Sunday morning at the Cowboys for Heroes Event is exactly what a Sunday morning ought to be. It's a peaceful time when old friends gather to worship together. Diesel duallies pulling out long train in tow. Others are having a terrific El Gordo Burrito before church.
Folks are saying good bye while others stroll on over to the stage for Morning Service. The Desert Reign Band plays a few oldies but goodies from the hymnal. We all sing along.
The Chaplain, Jeff Masengale, our friend and co-worker, gets up and brings it home as to why we are all really, really there. After the stirring sermon the band gets us moving again. Bibles close and wagons are packed. It's time to head home but there's always next year.
Happy Trails from Sunday morning. That's kinda what it's like.

The Cowboy in the center of this picture, plaid shirt, Blaine Sullins, is a key behind the scenes guy. He takes plenty of responsibility and always delivers in style !!! |
